Since 2008 we have been using The Blade Skating Treadmill which is the ideal training tool for all levels of skaters. From beginner skaters learning fundamentals to professional athletes “The Blade” promotes stride efficiency, development and endurance.

The Blade is the ultimate tool for developing technique and improving overall skating abilities.

The Blade is taught in a controlled atmosphere. Blade skating is a personal skating lesson that has G & G instructors who are trained to analyze the players’ skating technique, stride efficiency, upper body movement and control. Players and goalies are trained in front of a full size mirror where they can visually see the corrections that the instructor is wanting them to learn. They receive instant feedback from the instructor through this and video analysis which helps to correct any inconsistencies in their form.

The Blade also allows Hockey and Ringette players to develop their passing, stick handling and shooting skills while skating in stride.

The Treadmill benefits are great for:

- Stride development and full extension

- Maximum speed and endurance training

- Elevation training

- Skill development while skating and shooting with the puck or ring (Only Treadmill Training Centre in Waterloo Region that can do this)

** All players are hooked up to our Gantry Harness system for no chance of injury
