LOREN GABEL

Hockey Dryland Training Coach

Loren Gabel started playing hockey when she was four years old. She is currently a senior at Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY graduating in 2019 and plays left wing for the Clarkson Golden Knights, Loren is studying communications and media design with a minor in both business and psychology. Some of Loren's passions, community work and achievements include:

  • Volunteers at the Potsdam Elementary school, community outreach clean-up, Lil’ Knight’s Club, and the Malone Minor Hockey ADM Clinic

  • Powerlifting Coach for Raise The Bar: Girls Lifting Club

  • Participated in the U18 Team Canada strength and conditioning camps in 2013 and 2014 and was a part of the U18 selection camp in 2014

  • Won a silver medal with U18 Team Ontario at the 2015 Canada Winter Games

  • Clarkson University Women’s Hockey Rookie of the Year in 2016

  • Clarkson Women’s Hockey Rookie of the Year in 2016

  • Named to the ECAC Hockey All-Rookie Team in 2016

  • Participated in the U22 Development Team Canada Strength and Conditioning camps in 2016 & 2017

  • Selected to play for Team Canada in the Nation’s Cup in Fussen, Germany in 2018

  • Named to the 2018 Frozen Four All-Tournament Team

  • Top 3 Finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Award in 2018 which is presented annually to the top player in NCAA division 1 women’s hockey

  • Named ECAC Hockey Player of the Year 2018

  • Named ECAC Hockey Best Forward 2018

  • 2-time NCAA Division 1 National Champion (2017 & 2018)
