Personal Trainer & Powerlifting Coach
As a kid I was extremely active. I grew up playing a wide variety of sports including swimming, soccer and track and field. My passion for fitness was definitely sparked through playing soccer, I played at a travel level for 7 years, one season on a women's amateur team and at varsity level in high school. Playing soccer taught me to persevere, how to work as a team and most importantly commitment and discipline. After retiring from travel soccer I played beach volleyball, ultimate Frisbee and indoor soccer and began my journey into weightlifting.
In November 2016, I was kicked in the head which left me with a severe concussion and some memory loss. After further discussion with doctors I was told I would no longer be able to play the sports I loved as they came with too many risk factors. With this devastation I gained weight, became depressed and my anxiety was at an all time high. Fighting through these challenges taught me a lot about myself and who I am as a person and thats how I found my way to powerlifting. I have been powerlifting for just over a year and have competed twice. I came 2nd at my first meet and 1st in my category at Nationals this year. Powerlifting has taught and encouraged me not only to be physically strong but given me the power and confidence to be a strong woman. Going through life's challenges and knowing that it can be hard to get back on track alone I knew I wanted to inspire others to overcome their obstacles through health and fitness, which is why personal training and coaching powerlifting is a perfect fit for me.
